Rapid adoption of Cloud, Digital, IoT, AI, Social Media, Mobile Computing, Remote Working are increasing steadily in enterprises, and with the size of data growing exponentially and stored across multiple devices, the threat of cyber attacks and data breaches have become extremely high. Significant growth of Cyber Incidents during and Post COVID-19 era taught us that, any business can be compromised through cyber attack any time, and it is critical for organizations to be better prepared all the time.

Building Resilience to Cyber Attacks is very essential for our People, Process and Technology in Holcim. Creating Awareness, Testing and improving our Cyber Resilience is much more important than ever. With Holiday season around the corner, we decided to test our Cyber Resilience and educate the employees on Cyber Security Incident Detection, Reporting, Containment, Response and Prevention practices. Holcim Global Digital Hub in collaboration with Holcim Global Hub Business Services organized Cyber Incident Response - Table Top Exercises earlier this month where 75+ employees  from IT, Security, Business, HR, Business Heads, Management, etc. participated, . During this exercise, multiple scenarios were given to participants and they were forced to think and make decisions and create action plan as if there is a real incident occurred. Actions and Responses from our employees were thought provoking and contextual to our business situation and reality. This exercise helped the participants to understand the consequences and severity of impact, the cyber incidents can cause to our people, customers, businesses, operations of Holcim, their role in cyber security and resilience, and how their actions can improve our response and recovery process, in case of real incident.
